Hemant

Hemant is a late-night raga created by Pt. Ravi Shankar, combining elements of Durga and Kedar in the Bilawal thaat and omitting Gandhar in ascent. Its cool, reflective character is said to evoke the Indian winter season ('Hemant ritu') from which it takes its name.
