Kanakangi
Kanakangi is the 1st melakarta in the 72-melakarta scheme and the first raga of the Indu chakra, using Suddha Rishabha (R1), Suddha Gandhara (G1), Suddha Madhyama (M1), Suddha Dhaivata (D1) and Suddha Nishada (N1); R1 and G1 share the same pitch bin in our cross-tradition mapping (shown as r-r), as do D1 and N1 (d-d).
