Dhira Shankarabharanam is the 29th melakarta and corresponds to the Hindustani Bilawal thaat; it is among the most foundational Carnatic ragas, with natural major-scale intervals and a vast janya family including Bilahari, Kurinji, Arabhi, Devagandhari and Atana.
