शिवरंजनी
A pentatonic raga omitting Madhyam and Nishad, Shivranjani uses komal Gandhar with shuddha Rishabh and Dhaivat. Its minor-pentatonic contour has made it a favourite of Hindi film composers (famously 'Mere Naina Saawan Bhado') and a ready vehicle for instrumental melody.
