Shuddh Kalyan
शुद्ध कल्याण
Shuddh Kalyan uses only shuddha swaras in aroha (a pentatonic Bhupali-like rise) but admits tivra Madhyam and shuddha Nishad in avaroha, combining Bhupali's ascent with Yaman's descent. The result is a bright, stately raga that straddles the Kalyan family's brighter and graver aspects.
